Curriculum
Exercises of Practical Life:
A young child is attracted to activities that give independence and control of their own
life. Special Montessori material enables them to tie, button, snap and use any fastening
devices. The purpose of these exercises are to develop, concentration and attention to details as
the child follows a regular sequence of actions finishing each task and putting away all material,
before going to another activity.
Sensorial Exercises:
These materials are designed to sharpen senses of the young child and enable the child
to understand the many impressions received through them.
Each of this material isolates and defines quality such as color, weight, shape, texture size,
sound and smell.
Exercises in Math:
The Mathematical material introduces the concept of quantity and symbols of quantity using a
variety of beads and symbol cards. THe child becomes familiar with the numbers as decimal system
including concrete experience with the operations addition subtraction, multiplication and division.
These exercise understanding of how numbers function.
Exercises in Reading and language:
Children are introduced to the phonetic sounds with the use of the sandpaper letters and perform
three valuable functions simultaneously.
a . Hearing the sound.
b . Seeing its shape.
c . Training small muscles for writing
With the movable alphabet they begin to analyze the sounds
forming the words and thus explore the written language.
The child is also introduced to the various language exercises through the Montessori material.
In addition the program provides Art, Music, Nature Study, History, Geography,
Science and Computer training. |
